Kaja

Kaja
Artist: Kaja
Two bands:
1) After drummer Jez Strode left Kajagoogoo in 1985, the remaining members, Nick Beggs(Vocals, Bass), Stuart Neale(Keyboards), and Steve Askew(Guitar) changed the name to Kaja and recorded a new album called “Crazy Peoples Right To Speak” which spawned a moderately successful single “Shouldn’t Do That.” Kaja adapted a new flavour of rock in their new songs while still maintaining the classic Kajagoogoo sound. After this last album, Kaja disbanded and would again re-unite as Kajagoogoo in the new millenium.

2) Kaja is also a new Swedish klezmer band from Gothenburg, consisting of Camilla Åström (accordeon), Livet Nord (violin) and Daniel Wejdin (double bass). In March 2007 their first CD is released: Krackel (Famous/Moon Records). 2006 they toured Germany (Fabrik Potsdam and Oxident Bar, Berlin plus Tanz Tage in Potsdam) and the southern parts of Sweden.
Genre(s): Pop
