There are at least 7 groups with the name H2O:
1) H2O is an American melodic hardcore/punk band from New York City that was formed in 1995 as a joke band, but with rising popularity released their first record a year later. H2O just recently released a DVD titled One Life One Chance. There is also talk of a Greatest Hits record and a brand new record, which will be released once they find a label to put it out. Besides being known for doing their own headline tours, they have also opened for Sum 41 and Box Car Racer and will open for Rancid in the near future, as well as having appeared on Warped Tour. 2) H2O is a Latvian pop-rock band. In 2006 they participated in Eirodziesma 2006 (Eurovision Song Contest national selection in Latvia) with the song “You Say That Kissin? Is Good”. In 2007 they released their debut album “Uzmini nu”. The members are J?nis Strapc?ns - vocal, Sta?islavs Judins - bass, M?rti?? Mi?evskis - drums. More information here (in Latvian).
The band has recently begun cooperation with the music publisher and management company MicRec PM. Their current single “Uzmini nu!” (“Guess what!”) has permanently settled among the top five songs in Radio SWH’s Top 40 (two weeks at #2) for seven weeks. The song was written by Sta?islavs Judins (bass) and J?nis Strapc?ns (vocal). The producers are Gints Stank?vi?s and M?rti?? Freimanis. H2O’s song “Jaunatnes d??” (“For youth”) has been chosen as the title song for the recently presented film “Jaunatnes likums - ikvienam jaunietim!” The band has existed for three years and has regularly participated in the Bilde? music festival. |
